AI-Powered Library Services

This workshop is an intensive three-day practical training equipping librarians and information professionals with the skills to integrate artificial intelligence into modern library services. The course emphasizes experiential learning through hands-on use of more than 20 AI applications relevant to reference and information services, research support, literature discovery, scholarly communication, knowledge organization, metadata creation, content development, marketing, and library automation. It is informed by KLA’s training needs assessment of Kenyan librarians, which identified strong demand for practical, skills-based AI professional development.
